About Melissa

Melissa’s Troberg short Bio

Red Bluff California native, Melissa Troberg, grew up surrounded by a community of musicians and a fiddle playing mother who shared the love of Old Time Fiddle, Country Western, Bluegrass and Texas Swing. She picked up fiddle tunes quickly by ear and followed the contest circuit up the Western United States starting at 6 years of age.  Within a few years, she gathered Regional, California State and Western State titles and ranked Nationally.  She has enjoyed giving back to her community as 1993 Miss Tehama County, 1994 Miss Cal State Alternate, Red Bluff's Rotary Secretary and participates in many service projects.  As a graduate from Chico State, she has used her degree to teach music privately as well as develop curriculum for local elementary schools.

She currently plays with Sacramento based Bluegrass band 'One Button Suit', Modern Country band Harlan, Ariel Jean Band Full Band,  Solo work, and loves to travel abroad.
